Shane Forster
Shane founded SDF Hospitality to work more closely with the people shaping independent luxury hotels. His career has included senior roles in hotel operations, including Resort Manager at Post Ranch Inn, international representation for the property, and management of multiple private residences for an ultra-high-net-worth family.
In private service, he worked directly with principals, household teams, designers and contractors on the daily experience of the home and substantial renovation projects. In hotels, he learned the operational decisions that determine whether an ambitious vision can actually be delivered.
Extensive personal travel and stays at leading hotels around the world add the guest's point of view. Shane brings these perspectives together to ask a simple question: will this decision make the place feel more distinctive, intuitive and true to itself?
Based in London, with deep ties to California, he works with owners and hotel leadership on selected assignments.
